Sugar Detox Day 3

We were out of eggs this morning, so I didn’t get enough protein with breakfast. But, I still managed to feel pretty good and satiated for 4 hours because of all the fat I ate with my oats. Gotta love coconut oil, real butter and whole milk!

Breakfast

Baked steal cut oats with butter, walnuts, raw milk

1 tsp. coconut oil

Half caf latte with 1/2 cup raw whole milk

Lunchtacos

Leftover tuna salad on greens topped with tomatoes, cottage cheese, cucumbers, sesame oil, salt and pepper to taste

Dinner

Two chicken tacos with melted pepper cheese on corn tortillas

Black beans topped with creme fraiche

Avocado and tomatoes

1 teaspoon cod liver oil – I was out of it the last couple of days.

Water, water, water

Exercise, 60 minutes pilates

    Yum! Did you snack at all?
    I made the roasted brussel sprouts today. So. Amazing. Ate them with herb-marinated pork tenderloin.
    So, steaming milk is OK? I’ve switched to black coffee, but would love my steamed milk back…
    I am feeling so GOOD…Thank you!

    Nope, no snacking. Three “square” meals and lots of water! Dairy is totally fine while doing a sugar detox. Glad you are feeling good! I’m a bit tired and looking forward to tomorrow when all the sugar is out of my system. It usually takes about 3 days.

    @erin that’s good to know. I started sunday (i read the date wrong) and I really felt cravings today. Hopefully that’s the last of it.

    Day 3

    60min TRX suspension training class! 6:15am-7:15am

    Breakfast
    Sauteed savoy cabbage sauteed with pastured butter, 1/2 a green apple, apple cider vinegar & 5 slices of pastured bacon.

    Lunch
    Mixed greens salad with chicken, pine nuts, asparagus, roasted potatoes and dressing- I am borderline protein/mixed type so I do okay with potatoes (lunch order at work).

    Dinner
    Leftovers from yesterday! 1 whole chicken leg/thigh topped with crushed tomatoes, a bunch of fresh garlic cloves, oil cured olives, roasted red peppers, some black beans & cilantro over quinoa with a load of green beans and some avocado.

    Dessert
    One of my sweetener-free peanut butter cups. I really think these are almost more like natural protein bites…all just coconut, raw cacao powder and peanut butter- no sweet stuff added!

    No exercise today- REST DAY!
