Sugar Detox Day 6

Hello day 6! Only about two weeks to go!

Breakfast

went out for breakfast, ordered the breakfast burrito and didn’t eat the flour tortilla.

eggs, with black beans, tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, cheese, sour cream – delish!

half caf latte

before we left I had,

1 tsp cod liver oil

1 tsp coconut oil

Lunch

the rest of my gargantuan breakfast burrito!

celery and raw almond butter

Dinner

mixed green and spinach, topped with chicken salad and tomatoes

sprouted grain toast with butter

Exercise

60 minute hike – amazing day!!

Water! And later… water with spearmint leaves – Going crazy on a Saturday night!

    Day 6 (Saturday, 1/9)

    It was definitely a bit of a challenge to walk around the Farmers Market and not have my usual taste of almond toffee or buy a bite of chocolate…or even get my coconut juice with spirulina – but it’s just 3 weeks- no biggie! All that stuff will be there when I go back! And just 2 more weeks to go…

    60min TRX suspension training class! 8:30-9:30am

    Breakfast
    
Half-caf coffee with coconut milk
    Quickly ate last 1/2 of andouille sausage

    Lunch (had bites of all of the below and brought some home)

    At the farmers market from my FAVORITE place Il Cane Rosso (they use pastured meats, organic veg, etc- awesome!) http://canerossosf.com/

    RIDGECUT CREAMY POLENTA WITH SAGE BROWN BUTTER AND PARMIGIANO

    MARINATED UMBRIAN LENTILS
    with cabbage, rugosa squash vinaigrette and toasted pepitas

    MARIQUITA FARM MARINATED CAULIFLOWER
    with winter greens, raisins, breadcrumbs and rosemary vinaigrette
    (I avoided the raisins)


    Snack
    (I was REALLY hungry around 3:30pm- probably because I didn’t really eat a proper breakfast earlier!)

    
Mixed greens salad with vinaigrette, prosciutto, manchego and chicken (I am slipping on avoiding dairy a bit…)

    Dinner
    Wild sole with almond meal topping and lemon broccoli!

    Was up late and got hungry! Mary’s GF crackers with peanut butter.

    Ok, Erin, you got me motivated to quit decaf and Splenda (day 6 for me, too). I’m not ready to let go of sugar yet, but it and chocolate are up next!
