Sugar Detox Day 8


1 tsp cod liver oil

1 tsp coconut oil

steel cuts oats, baked with two eggs, topped with walnuts and real butter


two apple gate farms pastured, organic, grass fed hot dogs – yes, I said hot dogs. hummus

green-tipped banana with peanut butter


fresh veggie platter shared with hubby- carrots, celery, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, green peppers

homemade lacto-fermented veggies

raw cheddar cheese

homemade hummus

water, also late afternoon cafix


none… still not feeling great, like I’m coming down with something.

    Day 8 (Monday, 1/11)

    Erin- we roped in Mary Vance, too! (@nutritionbytes on twitter). I’m meeting her for the first time on Friday, can’t wait! šŸ™‚ I love my network! You ladies rock my socks!!!

    Breakfast 9:15am
    pastured lamb sausage, kale cooked in coconut oil, lentils (leftover from Saturday) and 1/2 an avocado PICTURE!
    green tea

    Lunch 12:30pm
    Mixed greens salad topped with chicken, pumpkin seeds, grilled onions, zucchini, goat cheese and dressing (lunch delivery at work)

    Snack 4pm
    Raw almond butter with Mary’s GF Crackers

    lamb meatballs, fresh green juice, raw milk with coconut cream, cinnamon and vanilla extract (I still don’t qualify the coconut as sugar– it’s not sweet to me particularly, just coconutty!)

    TRX 6:15-7:15am AND 6-7pm
    I didn’t feel like my morning workout was very energetic- so I went for round 2 this evening. Felt really good! Wow am I tired now!

    Hey Y’all!
    Psyched to be doing another sugar detox…. it’s been a few years! Have been sticking with my twice yearly liver cleanses that still involve a bit of fruit — and sometimes I sneak in dark choco on those too šŸ™‚ — so it’ll be good to go completely sugar free for 3 weeks. Didn’t even miss it!

    Here’s what I had:
    green tea (matcha)
    green apple w hazelnut-almond butter
    chicken sausage (from meat counter @ WF–no sugar added)

    lunch: vegetable soup
    chicken w brussels sprouts

    snack: marys gone crackers w hummus

    dinner: leftover roast chicken w root veggies (carrots, red potatoes, celery root, onion, garlic) that i made on saturday and dino kale (almost put some seasoned rice vinegar on it til i realized it had some sugar in it.)

    few handfuls of boyfriend’s popped corn (he used coconut oil & sea salt. proud.)

    exercise: 45 minute dog walk + various wii fit games (i’m a dork)
