Listen LIVE Tuesday March 1st 3pm pst: blogtalkradio.com/shapeshow

Need to lose weight? Tried everything and nothing is working? It’s time to dig deep and think outside of the box. Join me and Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness.com as we explore some very important but often ignored aspects of fat loss.

About Sean:

The word most often used to describe Sean is PASSIONate! This passion comes from a lifelong love of fitness and health and a dream to revolutionize how the way THE WORLD thinks about health. Recognizing the failures of health care, Sean promotes the concept of self care. In order to regain and/or maintain superb health, we must become more responsible for ourselves.

After years of study and a litany of classes and course, Sean works with clients to uncover the root cause(s) of their health challenges. He works by phone with individuals from all over the world by phone/Skype from his home office in San Diego, CA. Sean takes a holistic, functional approach to rebuilding health from the ground up. As a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist (FDN) and Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor (CMTA), and currently enrolled in the Functional Medicine University program, Sean does not focus on symptoms. Rather, he is solely concerned with uncovering the root cause(s) of health challenges.

Get A Better Workout Without The Gym

by Erin Huggins on October 28, 2009

You know you can’t stand the treadmill anyway. Why spend another day dreading your workout? You aren’t going to push yourself, get healthy and fit into your skinny jeans if you don’t like what you’re doing.  Stop phoning it in at the gym and get your beautiful behind outside.

Here is my ultimate body blasting outdoor workout.

  • Find a set of stairs – university campus, football stadium, your office building – it doesn’t matter where or how many just find some.  Start by walking the set of stairs (make your set 250 steps total up and down) at a regular pace.
  • Rest for 30 seconds at the bottom of the stairs.
  • Before you climb again do 30 seconds of jumping jacks, then immediately climb another set of stairs (remember try to climb up and down a total of 250 steps – so if you need to go up and down a set of short stairs 2 times to make 250 steps, so be it!)
  • Rest for 30 seconds at the bottom of the stairs
  • Before you climb again, do 30 seconds of fake jump rope, then immediately climb another set
  • Rest of 30 seconds at the bottom of the stairs
  • Before you climb again, do 30 seconds of knee kicks.

Repeat 5-10 times, add in some plank holds, some crunches, some push ups & triceps dips for a total body workout… watch the video to see how it’s done!
